There are over 10 million tree’s in this city which countervails %10 of the worlds total apricot production of apricots.
Apricots are grown in lots of areas of the world. Especially US or Australian apricots are easy to find season long. The difference of the sugarapricot is that it cannot be grown in usual climate atmosphere. They require the surrounding area to be a microclimate atmosphere.
By the taste and the looks, Sugarapricot differ from its origins with ist crunchy eating and amazing sugarlevel (brix). A mature apricot would have a 28 brix level which is 2-3 times more then a mature watermelon. Also by the eye, sugarapricots can be differentiated with their looks. Sugarapricots are relatively small fruits, smaller than all other apricots produced in the World. They would have a green-yellowish look as well. Some areas are known to have a little red blemish on the cheeks.
Fresh apricots are an excellent source of Vitamins A, C, E, potassium, and iron, as well as being a great source of beta-carotene.
Infact, 2-3 apricots will give you nearly %50 of your daily value of Vitamin A. Apricots contain no fat and a small amount of carbs (about 8g of carbs for two apricots, 2 of those being from dietary fiber
The variety of nutrients found in apricots are very benefical for good eyesight and also help to prevent heart disease and other ailments.
